Basic Warranty
This warranty covers most parts of the vehicle. It excludes items that will wear down or have to be replaced normally, like oil or air filters, brake pads, and wiper blades. The tires and battery are also usually excluded, but these do have their own warranties which are covered by the manufacturers. The warranty for emissions equipment, which this covers, lasts for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Drive Train Warranty
This warranty covers the parts of the vehicle that make it move, including engine, drive axles, transmission, and the drive shaft. Some parts of the engine that normally will need to be repaired or replaced, like belts and hoses, are not covered. However, other parts in the engine that are subject to wear and tear, like ball bearings or pistons, are covered. This warranty lasts for four years or 50,000 miles.
Maintenance Warranty
Volvo wants to make sure that your brand new car is taken care of and running by certified Volvo technicians. This warranty provides complimentary factory scheduled maintenance at the first regular services of your vehicle-that's at 10,000 miles, 20,000 miles, and 30,000 miles. All 2015 models are covered by this warranty, and it's good for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.
You can also purchase optional maintenance programs, which gives you the ability to cover your vehicle's routinely scheduled maintenance for up to 100,000 miles. You can get a regular prepaid maintenance plan or a plan with both maintenance and wear item coverage.
Roadside Assistance Warranty
Volvo roadside assistance includes 24/7 roadside assistance, trip routing and map service, and trip interruption benefits such as car rental and shuttles. You'll also get rewards for car theft protection services, as well as access to emergency services. Free roadside assistance lasts for four years.
Rust and Corrosion Warranty
This warranty is for the sheet metal of the vehicle, and guarantees replacement or repair in cases of rust or corrosion which cause holes. Surface rust is not covered, however, This warranty lasts for 12 years.
Certified Pre-Owned Warranty
All of our certified pre-owned vehicles come with a warranty which covers nearly every part of your Volvo, allowing for the repair or replacement of thousands of vehicle components. You'll also get free roadside assistance, as well as no deductible for any service visits covered under warranty. This warranty lasts until the vehicle is seven years old or has 100,000 miles on the odometer.
