IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ Award Winner
2019 XC40
The 2019 Volvo XC40 has earned the highest accolade from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) when equipped with optional curve-adaptiveheadlights.
To qualify for a 2019 Top Safety Pick+ award, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, as well as a good or good rating in the passenger-side small overlap front test. It also needs an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and a good headlight rating.

2019 XC60
The 2019 Volvo XC60 has been awarded as an IIHS Top Safety Pick winner this year, the second year in a row for the XC60. The 5-seater Volvo SUV received the top rating of, "Good" in all crash tests for 2019 as well as an acceptable rating for it's headlights and the child seat anchors, ease of use. Previously, the XC60 won the Top Safety Pick+ Award in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and the Top Safety Pick Award in 2018, 2012, 2011, and 2010. The XC60 remains a consistent choice for a safe SUV in the Midsize Luxury segment.
